Dr. Kathleen Lipovski-Helal

Writer inspired by research @RansomCenter.

Kathleen Lipovski-Helal holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from Indiana University Bloomington. She first became aware of the vast resources at the HRC when she was researching topics in twentieth century literature in the British Library, where someone suggested she come to Austin for the best collection of primary materials in the world. She has published articles on authors from Virginia Woolf to Flannery O’Connor, and has taught college literature and writing courses for over twenty years. When she is not giving tours, she is presenting at academic conferences, and writing critically and creatively, drawing inspiration from the collections.
